Renoufs Wine Bar Verwood development back on track

The redevelopment of the old Barclay’s Bank in Verwood is back on track as a new Renoufs Wine Bar gets ready to open in the town.

Renoufs already has three venues – in Westbourne, Wimborne and Southbourne, and announced in October last year it was heading to Verwood.

But development has been slow after issues with land rights but these have now been sorted allowing the Cheese and Wine eatery to open before the summer.

Trevor Ayling, Founder and CEO of Renoufs Wine Bars Group told VerwoodToday.co.uk: “We have been overwhelmed with Resident messages asking for updates. We have had some issues with land rights for the development which, I have been assured, have now all be rectified.

“The development is now continuing which should take around 8-12 weeks to complete. We are so excited to be part of the Verwood community and will update you when we have a final opening date.”

Once open, the bar will accommodate around 40 people, with 10 members of staff employed initially. We’ll let you know the official opening date once it has been announced.
