A man in his 20s has died after his car left the road on Monday morning in Wimborne.
He sadly died at the scene following what Police describe as a single-vehicle collision on the B3082 Blandford Road near Queen Elizabeth’s School.
Officers investigating are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward.
Dorset Police received a report at 7.35am on Monday 21 February 2022 of a single-vehicle collision involving a silver Subaru on the B3082 Blandford Road near to Badbury Rings.
Road closures are in place to allow emergency services to carry out a thorough examination of the scene.
Police Sergeant Mark Scammell, of the traffic unit, said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who sadly died in this collision.
“An investigation is underway to establish the full circumstances of what happened and I would urge any witnesses to please get in touch.
“I would also ask motorists who were travelling along Blandford Road to please check their dashcam for any footage to assist my enquiries.
“Finally, I would like to thank the public for their patience while the road closures are in place. This allows the emergency services to safely respond to the incident.”
