Verwood Town FC Manager Adrian Arnold resigns

Adrian Arnold has announced he’s resigned from his position as Chairman of Verwood Town Football Club.

He’s been involved with the club since the 1980s in various capacities and has been the current manager since 2016.

It’s not the first time he’s quit though. He left in 2014 after saying the spark had gone from the job.

He tweeted: “A sad day for me but I’ve informed the chairman that I will be resigning with immediate effect from my role as manager of Verwood Town.

“Some great lads to work with and will consider them friends for life but believe I’ve taken them as far a we can . Up the potters.”

In a statement to VerwoodToday, the club Chairman Martin Gilham responded: “With immediate effect Verwood Town FC manager, Adi Arnold, has decided to step back from managing Verwood Town FC for personal reasons.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Adi for all the effort he has put into supporting the club for many years.

“Adi has been involved with Verwood as a player and manager since 1980s and will be missed by all. I would like to wish Adi well in his
retirement from football.

“The club will be advertising shortly for applicants to take on the team management position.”
