A large fire in Ringwood Forest was attended by firefighters from Verwood on Monday evening.
They were joined by crews from Burley, Fordingbridge, Eastleigh, Ferndown, Poole, Southbourne, Red Hill, Ringwood and more, with 10 pumps and other off-road vehicles.
Residents in Verwood reported the smell of fire across the town into the evening and on Tuesday morning.
Reports are also being received as far away as Christchurch and Poole.
