The Tree Top Trail at Moors Valley has closed after 35 years at the country park.
The attraction has been shut following maintenance checks, with Moors Valley Country Park and Forest saying the wooden structure has now reached the end of its natural lifespan.
The trail had been part of Moors Valley for 35 years and had become a memorable feature for visitors, volunteers and rangers who spent time there over the decades.
In a message to visitors, the country park said: “After careful maintenance checks, we’re sad to say we have had to close the Tree Top Trail.”
It added that the trail “holds a special place in the memories of so many of our visitors, volunteers and rangers.”
The park said it was “incredibly grateful” for the enjoyment the Tree Top Trail had brought over the years, and thanked everyone who had visited and supported it.
People are now being invited to share their favourite memories and photos of the trail via Facebook.
