Motor show marks 10 years at castle

A major fundraising motor show will return to Lulworth Castle this month to mark 10 years.

The Dorset Blind Association Motor Show takes place on 17 May 2026, bringing a large-scale event to the castle grounds as it celebrates a decade of supporting people with sight loss across Dorset.

Organisers say the event has grown significantly over the past 10 years, evolving from a smaller charity gathering into a well-established date in the county calendar, attracting thousands of visitors while raising vital funds for services and support.

This year’s show is expected to feature around 300 vehicles, including classic cars, supercars, vintage models and modern performance vehicles, with exhibitors travelling from across the South Coast to take part in the display.

Alongside the vehicles, there will be a wide range of entertainment and activities throughout the day, including live music, performances, children’s attractions, workshops, a driving simulator, a military display and a variety of stalls and food vendors.

Sam Baker from the charity said reaching the 10 year milestone is “something we’re incredibly proud of”, adding the event has become “one of the highlights of Dorset’s events calendar” thanks to continued support from the community, sponsors and volunteers.

Last year’s event raised more than £37,000, helping fund services including home visits, wellbeing activities and accessibility support for people across the county, with organisers expecting another strong turnout this year.
