Bank Holiday: Where is the Verwood Carnival Procession route and is Morrisons open?
The two biggest questions from Verwoodians this weekend will be where is the Verwood Carnival procession going and is Morrisons open.
Well, fear not, VerwoodToday is here to help.
The Carnival route is the same as last year, which we appreciate isn’t much help if you don’t know where it went last time, so the image above gives you the full details.
Please be aware the roads along the route will still be open to vehicles but expect delays between 12pm and 1pm on these and surrounding routes.
The procession will leave the Carnival Field off the Fuzzy Bit on Crane Road at midday, at the same time gates will open. Verwoodians are encouraged to watch the parade then follow to the venue.
The route will go along Station Road, then Vicarage Road and Church Hill, along Dewlands Way and Dewlands Road, and back to the carnival field via Station Road.
Here’s what’s happening over the rest of the Carnival.
And to answer the other important question – yes – Morrisons will be open, but the times will be slightly different. Saturday and Sunday will be normal trading hours, but Monday will be 8am till 7pm.
Other questions expected to be asked, along with answers:
Will the tip be open? – Yes – 0900 – 1800
Will the Verwood Hub be open? – Yes – 0830 – 1800
How about the Verwood Post Office? – Nope.
Tesco Express and Co-Op? – Yes.
Costa Coffee? No idea, we don’t drink coffee.
