Tourism businesses across Dorset are being encouraged to enter this year’s awards scheme.
The Dorset Tourism Awards, run in partnership with VisitEngland Awards for Excellence and supported by Tomorrows Travel, are now open, recognising achievements across the county’s visitor economy and offering opportunities for organisations of all sizes.
The programme provides increased visibility, PR opportunities and independent feedback, with workshops and support sessions available to guide entrants through the process and help them present their work effectively to judges.
Selected winners will progress to the national VisitEngland Awards for Excellence in 2027, giving Dorset businesses the chance to be recognised on a wider stage and highlight the strength of the region’s tourism offer.
Jay Thornton from Tomorrows Travel said the company is “proud to be the headline sponsor” and highlighted the importance of recognising businesses and individuals contributing to Dorset’s visitor appeal.
Previous entrant Bagwell Farm Touring Park said the process was “clear from start to finish” and described the feedback from judges as “incredibly useful”, with organisers offering support throughout.
