A girl with cancer is at the centre of a fundraising event on Saturday 11 April.
The night, described as a “Pure Variety” show, will feature Anita Harris, Tommy J International Comedy Juggler from Britain’s Got Talent, Classical CrossOver Popera Duo Tesoro, Magic Champion Mark Shortland, Tyler James and host Steve Shappelle.
Melody has been battling Acute Myeloid Leukaemia for 11 months, with her family saying she has shown more bravery than they “can put into words” during a long and difficult course of treatment.
They say there are no further treatment options available for her in the UK, but approval has been granted by the MHRA to import a drug from America that could help her reach long term remission.
Her family describes the treatment as “her lifeline to the future”, as fundraising continues to support access to the drug, with the message that every pound matters and every second counts.
