Police investigate Bournemouth shop theft

Troveuk

Police are investigating a break in at a trading card shop in Bournemouth.

The incident happened at around 10.55pm on 4 March at Trove in Wimborne Road, where it was reported that damage was caused to the premises and trading cards worth around £30,000 were stolen.

The shop says the incident affected a number of small businesses that store and sell collections through the venue, with several traders reporting the loss of thousands of pounds worth of cards.

According to the business, display cabinets were damaged during the break in, which prevented the shop from opening the following day and affected more than 150 small businesses that rely on the premises.

Those impacted include traders from Collectors Exchange, 291 Kingdom Collectibles, Pokesouth, Kelpie Cards, Posion Storm and DJB Cards, alongside other individual sellers who use the shop.

Dorset Police said they received a report at 9.06am on Wednesday 5 March that a break in had happened the previous night and confirmed that enquiries into the incident are ongoing.

The business is asking anyone who witnessed suspicious activity or is offered large quantities of trading cards locally to come forward with information.
