Poole police appeal after shop threats report

Police in Poole are investigating reports a customer made threats to kill during an incident at a High Street shop.

Dorset Police said officers received a report at 3.45pm on Friday 13 February 2026 that a man had become aggressive towards a member of staff at the Three phone shop in Poole town centre.

It was reported the man made threats to kill, but no physical contact took place and no injuries were sustained during the incident.

The customer was described as around five feet ten inches tall with short dark hair. He was wearing blue jeans, a black top and a bumbag with red stripes.

Sergeant Mark Rice, of Dorset Police, said no one deserves to be subjected to abuse in their place of work and officers are carrying out enquiries to identify the person responsible.

He added that anyone with information about the incident or the identity of the man involved should come forward.
