Bournemouth heart club marks new partnership
Tom Hayes MP has returned to the Bournemouth Heart Club to highlight cardiovascular health and support its new partnership with AFC Bournemouth.
Founded in 1992, the club is one of only two purpose built heart clubs in the UK. It helps people recover from heart surgery, stents and valve replacements, supporting them to live well and avoid hospital readmission.
Tom Hayes MP said: “Looking after our hearts is a great thing we can do for our health, and the amazing Bournemouth Heart Club gives people support to stay well.” He also welcomed the club signing a two year charity partnership with the Cherries.
Caroline Marshall, General Manager, said the visit was a chance to reflect on achievements over the past year and discuss “the exciting initiatives ahead” through the partnership with AFC Bournemouth.
Chairman John Slade thanked the MP for his continued interest and support.
Over the next two seasons, AFC Bournemouth and Bournemouth Heart Club will work together on events and initiatives to increase awareness and strengthen community engagement across Bournemouth.
