Bournemouth man charged with murder
A Bournemouth man has been charged with murder as part of an investigation into the disappearance of Gary Piatek.
Omed Firuzman, 25, of Ashley Road, Bournemouth, has been charged with the murder of 60-year -old Mr Piatek alongside Yosif Ibrahim, 43, of Broad Avenue, Leicester. There has been no proof of life of Mr Piatek since April 2024.
The charges follow warrants carried out at addresses in Evington on Tuesday and ongoing forensic work at a house in Broad Avenue, where specialist teams will continue searches for a number of weeks. Warrants were also executed at addresses in Dorset and Birmingham.
Dalya Rabati, 29, and Dilan Rabati, 34, have been charged with offences under the Proceeds of Crime Act. Ahmed Nabla, 34, also faces similar charges, while Dalya Rabati has an additional count of fraud.
Diar Muhammedy, 34, and Mabast Khalid, 21, have been charged with assisting an offender. Nazem Kakamando, 50, faces fraud and Proceeds of Crime Act offences. All have been remanded in custody and are due before Leicester Magistrates’ Court.
A 61-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder has been released on police bail while enquiries continue.
