Poole drug dealer jailed for 14 years

A Poole drug dealer has been sentenced to fourteen years in prison after detectives seized drugs and cash during an intelligence led operation in the town.

Jose Ivo Ferreira, aged thirty five, was investigated by Dorset Police’s Serious Organised Crime Investigation Team. Officers stopped him in Poole shortly before five pm on Wednesday twelve November twenty twenty five, where a search uncovered cocaine, herbal cannabis and a large quantity of cash.

Further searches at his home address in Poole and a storage location in Corfe Mullen led to the discovery of cocaine, ketamine and cannabis with an estimated value of between one hundred and fifty four thousand pounds and one hundred and ninety thousand pounds. More than eighty thousand pounds in cash was also recovered.

Analysis of mobile phones and other evidence showed Ferreira was playing a significant role in a wholesale drugs supply operation, with the total value of seized items and drugs supplied during the investigation estimated at over one point five million pounds.

Ferreira admitted possessing class A and class B drugs and a money laundering offence. He was sentenced at Bournemouth Crown Court on Friday six February twenty twenty six.

Detective Chief Inspector Jamie Halford said the investigation identified Ferreira as playing “a leading role in a significant drugs supply network” and said the case showed a commitment to tackling the impact of drug related crime on local communities.

A serious crime prevention order will also restrict where Ferreira can live, his access to digital devices and how much cash he can hold for five years after his release.
