Live: Alumhurst Road in Bournemouth is blocked both ways due to a fire this afternoon, with emergency vehicles on the scene closing the road whilst they deal with the incident – also affecting Studland Road. See below for updates on this and other incidents around BCP and east Dorset.

DW Fire and Rescue say: “We currently have multiple crews dealing with a roof fire in Alumhurst Road, Bournemouth. There has been a lot of smoke so, if you’re local and affected, please keep doors and windows closed as a precaution.”
They added: “We were called to Alumhurst Road, Bournemouth at 12.02pm this afternoon (9 February) for a fire in the roof space of a block of flats.
“We currently have crews on scene from Westbourne, Springbourne, Redhill Park, Poole (x2), Christchurch (x2), New Milton and Ringwood, together with the aerial ladder platform from Westbourne, a water carrier from Poole and a support unit from Hamworthy.”
