Fire crews from Verwood, Ringwood and Christchurch were called to a fire behind The Chase in Verwood on Thursday evening.
An area of forest and undergrowth was well alight when emergency services arrived at the scene, shortly before 7pm.
The fire was put out fully within 30 minutes using specialist off-road appliances, and crews stayed on the scene for another hour and a half to dampen down the area.
Verwood Fire Service told VerwoodToday.co.uk: “Because of the location it was accessible by the Land Rover and on foot. Extra resources were requested and colleagues from Ringwood and Christchurch also attended. The fire is now out but crews will be delayed damping down for a short while.”
