Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision in Hurn on Tuesday morning.
Dorset Police were called at 8.04am after a collision on Matchams Lane involving a white Ford Transit van and a Nissan NV200.
Emergency services attended the scene and a man in his 20s was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries described by police as serious. Road closures were put in place to allow emergency crews to respond safely and for officers to carry out a detailed examination of the scene.
Police Constable Calum Maton, from the Roads Policing Team, said enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and officers are keen to hear from witnesses who have not yet spoken to police. He also asked for anyone with relevant dashcam footage to come forward.
The officer thanked members of the public for their patience during the road closures, which were required to manage the incident and investigate the collision. Anyone with information is asked to contact Dorset Police, quoting incident number 27:117, or to contact Crimestoppers anonymously.
