Man dies after Verwood road collision
A man injured in a Verwood crash last month has sadly died in hospital.
Police have confirmed the collision happened at around 5.40pm on Tuesday 23 December on Ringwood Road near the junction with Saint Stephen’s Lane, involving a black Mini Cooper, a black Vauxhall Corsa and a BMW X3.
The Vauxhall driver, a woman in her 50s, suffered minor injuries and the BMW driver was uninjured, while the Mini driver, a local man in his 70s, was taken to hospital with serious injuries following the incident in Verwood.
Dorset Police said the man died in hospital on Monday 19 January and his family has been informed, as officers continue to investigate the full circumstances surrounding the collision on the busy route through the town.
Police Sergeant Paul Hind said officers’ thoughts were with the man’s family and loved ones, adding that a thorough investigation is under way, and urging witnesses or anyone with relevant dashcam footage who has not yet spoken to police to come forward.
