Seafood and Sounds returning to Poole Quay

Seafood and Sounds is set to return to Poole Old Town and the Quay this year, bringing live music, local food and family entertainment back to the waterfront.

The free community event will take place on Saturday 12 September and Sunday 13 September this year, following an edition last year that welcomed more than 8,000 visitors to Poole, with organisers confirming plans are underway to expand the programme across the historic harbour area.

The weekend will begin with a parade starting near the Slug and Lettuce and moving through Poole Old Town before arriving at the Quay, marking the start of two days of activity celebrating the town’s maritime heritage and coastal food culture.

More than 24 musical acts are scheduled to perform across a range of locations including the Custom House area, the Sea Music Sculpture, Poole Museum, St James’ Church, the Poole Arms and the Fish Shambles, with music taking place from 11am until 4pm on both days.

Local hospitality businesses will serve freshly prepared seafood dishes alongside waterside traders, while the Seafood and Sounds Oyster Trail will return, giving visitors an interactive way to explore the event and sample local produce.

An artisan and produce market will showcase local makers and creatives, supported by a programme of children’s entertainment designed to ensure the event appeals to families and visitors of all ages.
