Hall and Woodhouse boosts community support
Hall and Woodhouse has delivered £253,000 in donations to charities and community causes following its busiest events season to date, with the brewer expanding its activity across the south and strengthening support for organisations in Dorset and beyond.
The company operated bars at twenty one festivals and shows as part of its events programme, which was created to extend its hospitality offer and increase its community contribution.
Donations increased by fifteen per cent compared with last year, helped by Hall and Woodhouse running bars at Bournemouth Pride and the Tank Museum’s Tiger Days for the first time. Events-driven donations previously totalled £220,000, rising to £253,000 this year.
Chairman Anthony Woodhouse said the business aims to enrich the communities it serves and that operating bars at major events helps the company reach new audiences while supporting organisations that make a difference.
A key highlight was the brewer’s continued sponsorship of Teddy Rocks Festival, where team members volunteered their time and a bespoke pub installation created a full Hall and Woodhouse experience on-site. Nearly £130,000 was donated to Teddy Rocks through the profit share and ongoing sponsorship.
Record results were also achieved at TANKFEST, where £27,500 was raised through the operation of two bars during the weekend.
This year marked the third year of the partnership and the first time the brewer supported the museum’s new Tiger Day events.
To conclude the season, Hall and Woodhouse returned to Dorset County Show and ran three bars, including one fully not-for-profit offer, with half of profits from the other bars supporting the show’s charity, Julia’s House and The Farming Community Network.
The brewer remains on track to reach its target of donating £1 million per year by its 250th anniversary in 2027, with its events programme forming a key part of its wider community and charity initiatives.
