Power cut affects Bournemouth homes
Homes in Bournemouth and Boscombe have been left without electricity this evening following a power cut across the BH7 and BH5 postcode areas.
Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN) confirmed that engineers are on site and working to resolve the fault. Power is currently expected to be restored by around 2.30am.
The outage is affecting streets in Pokesdown, Southbourne, Boscombe and nearby neighbourhoods, with some residents reporting a sudden loss of supply late on Monday night.
SSEN says the incident is being treated as a priority and additional crews are supporting the repairs. Customers who need extra assistance, including those who rely on medical equipment, are advised to contact the network operator’s Priority Services Register.
