Cinderella’s charm to fill the Pavilion

Bournemouth Pavilion’s pantomime season is underway this weekend, with Cinderella bringing together professional performers and emerging local talent on the town’s historic stage.

The production runs from Saturday 6 December 2025 to Sunday 4 January 2026 and showcases dancers and young performers from Bournemouth and Poole.

Young ensemble members from The Stage Door School of Dance and Steppin’ Out Academy are appearing in the show for the first time. Julie Headford said the opportunity allows students to develop their skills alongside experienced performers and create lasting memories.

Professional dancer Jessie Adams has returned to the Pavilion for her third year. She said the support from audiences and the company makes each season a joy. Zack Godfrey is making his professional debut and described starting his career in Bournemouth as an incredible feeling.

The cast also includes Liam Wetherell, who said the excitement of opening night makes pantomime unique. Melanie Walters, playing the Fairy Godmother, said rehearsals come together when the full cast meets and the script comes to life.

BH Live’s Steve Turner said the panto continues to unite professional performers and local talent. UK Productions’ Martin Dodd said staging Cinderella reflects the range of performers involved.

A captioned performance will be held on Sunday 14 December and a relaxed performance on Tuesday 16 December. School shows take place on Tuesday 9, Wednesday 10, Monday 15 and Wednesday 17 December.
