Poole launches festive light trail
Poole will celebrate the start of the festive season with a Christmas Light Trail running starting tomorrow and running till 1 January 2026.
The trail begins at Lighthouse, Poole, travels along the High Street and finishes on Poole Quay, creating a continuous route of lights and entertainment for residents and visitors.
The town will feature a range of installations across its main streets, including a ceiling of lights, a fourteen metre Christmas tree in Falkland Square, a light fountain, decorated trees and illuminated POOLE letters.
These displays are intended to offer a straightforward way for people to explore Poole during the season.
The launch event on 22 November will start at 4pm and includes a Santa Parade from the Lighthouse to the Quay. Choirs will perform at set times along the route, with Citrus Singers in Falkland Square at 4:40pm, Julia’s House Choir in Amity Square at 5pm, Bitter Sweet Harmony in Orchard Plaza at 5:20pm and Rock Choir at the Quay at 5:40pm, followed by a fire performance.
Music will continue throughout December with Poole’s Choirs at Christmas returning to the High Street each weekend. Lighthouse, Poole will also host Dick Whittington between 11 December 2025 and 4 January 2026.
Organisers thanked Poole BID for sponsoring the town’s light installations and supporting the programme of events planned for the season.
