Morebus will welcome a new managing director in January when Ed Wills returns to Go South Coast to lead the operation.
He previously served as operations director from 2010 to 2018 before taking on senior roles in Ireland and within the wider Go-Ahead Group.
Most recently, he led Brighton and Hove Buses and Metrobus, where he oversaw growth and worked to improve accessibility standards.
Ed succeeds Ben Murray, who has been interim managing director since the passing of Andrew Wickham MBE and will return to his finance role when Ed arrives.
Martin Dean from Go-Ahead said Ed’s operational experience and commitment to customer service made him the right choice to guide the company.
Ed said he looked forward to building on Andrew Wickham’s legacy and working with partners to provide safe and reliable services across the region.
