Charity thanks Eco for soil support

Diverse Abilities has thanked Eco Sustainable Solutions after receiving two bulk bags of soil to support children’s outdoor learning at The Nature Nook in Hurn.

Community Fundraiser Francesca Potton said the donation will help the charity expand planting areas so children can grow their own fruit, vegetables and other plants.

Eco Sustainable Solutions, which handles green and food waste for BCP Council and Dorset Council, is offering free soil and compost to thirty good causes as part of its anniversary plans.

Marketing Executive Bryony-Mai Hammond said the gesture is the company’s way of thanking the community for its support over three decades.

Eco operates sites at Parley, Piddlehinton and Weymouth and is building a new anaerobic digestion facility that will generate energy for more than seven thousand homes.
