Moors Valley unveils autumn trail
A new Feel Good Forest Trail has opened at Moors Valley Country Park to help families enjoy nature and wellbeing this autumn.
The trail, created by WWF and Forestry England, is one of three new additions across England and includes interactive activities encouraging children to explore, listen and learn in the forest.
Families are invited to take part in seasonal challenges such as spotting wildlife, discovering tree patterns, and exploring how local woodlands connect to the Amazon Rainforest.
WWF’s Jack Abrey said the trails help families engage with nature all year round, with activities changing with the seasons.
Forestry England’s Sarah Wood added that spending time outdoors supports children’s curiosity and understanding of the world around them.
The new Moors Valley trail forms part of WWF’s Prescription for Nature campaign, which encourages families to get their “daily dose of nature” together this autumn.
