AFC Bournemouth climb to second with Fulham victory
AFC Bournemouth produced a stunning turnaround at Vitality Stadium to move up to second in the Premier League table with a 3-1 win over Fulham.
The visitors took the lead after 70 minutes when Ryan Sessegnon combined with Samuel Chukwueze and finished past Dorde Petrovic. But Antoine Semenyo hit back 12 minutes from time with a fine solo run and finish.
Justin Kluivert then struck from distance on 86 minutes to put the Cherries in front before Semenyo added his second on the counter-attack to seal the points in stoppage time.
Manager Andoni Iraola made four changes from the side that drew at Leeds last weekend, with Alex Scott, Marcus Tavernier, James Hill and David Brooks returning to the starting line-up.
Fulham, who were missing forwards Rodrigo Muniz and Raúl Jiménez, had held firm until the final stages, but Bournemouth’s late rally secured a fourth win in seven league games and a place among the early-season frontrunners.
Attendance was recorded at 11,165 with Simon Hooper refereeing.
