Poole Town FC joins forces with SWRAC
Young people with special educational needs and disabilities will now have the chance to learn skills and gain valuable work experience at Poole Town Football Club thanks to a new partnership with SWRAC.
SWRAC supports young people aged sixteen to thirty with training, internships, and life skills at its sites in Dorset and Liverpool. For the next two seasons its #SayYEStoSEN campaign will be promoted at Tatnam and in the club’s media.
Students will take on weekly roles across the club in retail, hospitality, marketing, and groundskeeping. Two students from the Boscombe site have already visited the ground and left inspired after meeting staff and learning about match day opportunities.
Adrian Gunner, Managing Director of SWRAC, said Poole Town’s inclusive approach makes it an ideal partner for their students. Careers advisor Daniel Kerley explained that the young people are excited to start placements.
Commercial Manager Ben Edgell said the collaboration is about more than football and underlines the importance of creating opportunities and inspiring young people in the community.
