NHS Dorset chief executive to step down
Patricia Miller OBE has announced she will step down as Chief Executive of NHS Dorset at the end of the month.
Patricia has led the organisation since its creation in February 2022, after a career spanning more than 40 years in the NHS. She said she was proud of her team’s achievements and thanked colleagues for their commitment and loyalty.
Reflecting on her time in Dorset, Patricia said it had been a privilege to serve and to work alongside talented staff across the county. She highlighted progress made in building a strong integrated health and care system and in addressing health inequalities.
Patricia said the organisation had focused on helping people and communities live healthier lives, with the voices and experiences of local residents at the centre of decision-making.
NHS Dorset Integrated Care Board Chair, Rob Whiteman, praised Patricia’s leadership through challenging times and said her vision had helped to transform health and care services across the county. He added that she had put the organisation in a strong position to deliver the government’s ten-year plan for health.
The Board thanked Patricia for her service and wished her well for the future.
