Blue Collar announces plans for new venue in Bournemouth
A new street food and drink venue is being planned for Bournemouth after Blue Collar confirmed it has signed an agreement for its second permanent site.
The proposed venue near the BIC would feature a bar, two floors, three kitchens, a large outdoor beer garden in the summer and a fully enclosed space for the winter months.
As well as permanent kitchens, the venue would host a changing line-up of street food trucks, providing opportunities for independent businesses across the South Coast.
The scheme is planned for a piece of derelict land, which the company says it hopes to regenerate. The plans are still subject to planning and licensing approval.
A spokesperson for Blue Collar said they believe the venue would allow them to build on the work they have done in Reading, while creating jobs and supporting other independent businesses in Bournemouth.
If given the go-ahead, the new site could open in spring next year.
Blue Collar currently operates in Reading, where it runs weekly street food markets and its permanent venue, Blue Collar Corner.
