Thousands of local students celebrate A-level and vocational results

Thousands of students across Bournemouth, Christchurch, Poole and east Dorset are marking a major milestone in their education after receiving their A-level, vocational, and T Level results today.

From early this morning, sixth forms and colleges across the area have been filled with students collecting their results and making plans for the future, whether that means university, apprenticeships, training, or entering work.

Councillor Richard Burton, Portfolio Holder for Children, Young People, Education and Skills at BCP Council, congratulated those receiving results, saying it reflects their hard work, resilience, and commitment. He also recognised the contribution of teachers, lecturers, and school staff who have supported students throughout their studies.

Cathi Hadley, Corporate Director for Children’s Services at BCP Council, said every student deserves credit for reaching this stage, and reminded those feeling uncertain or disappointed that there is guidance available and many ways to move forward.

For those unsure of their next steps, the council advises making the sixth form or college the first point of contact, as staff can provide tailored support and advice based on each student’s situation.

BCP Council has wished all students success as they move on to the next stage of their education, training, or careers.

BCP Council supports over 70 schools, colleges, and education providers across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole.
