Bournemouth man charged after fire at the BIC on Monday
A man has been charged with arson following a fire at the Bournemouth International Centre on Monday evening.
Emergency services were called to the BIC in Exeter Road at 7.38pm on 4 August 2025. Dorset Police officers attended to support firefighters and carried out early enquiries at the scene.
Following initial investigations, it was alleged the fire had been started deliberately. A 38-year-old man, of no fixed abode, was arrested on suspicion of arson.
He has since been charged with arson with recklessness as to whether life was endangered.
The man has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Poole Magistrates’ Court today.
