By-election called in Talbot and Branksome Wood Ward
A by-election will take place in Talbot and Branksome Wood Ward next month following the resignation of Councillor Philip Broadhead.
BCP Council has confirmed the vote will be held on Thursday 11 September, with the result expected the next day. Councillor Broadhead, who previously led the council, has stepped down from his elected role.
The election gives local residents the opportunity to select a new councillor to represent the ward.
Anyone wanting to vote must be registered by Friday 26 August. Residents who are not yet on the register can sign up online.
Photo ID is also required to vote in person. Passports, driving licences and some bus passes are accepted, even if expired, as long as the photo is still a clear likeness.
Further information, including how to stand as a candidate and the official election notices, is available on the BCP Council website.
