Verwood bike theft prompts police appeal for witnesses and information

Police are appealing for witnesses after a high-value mountain bike was stolen from a vehicle in Verwood.

At around 2.30am on Wednesday 30 July, two men reportedly forced entry to a vehicle parked on Burnbake Road and took a Pivot Phoenix mountain bike from inside.

Officers investigating the theft have released an image of the stolen bike and are asking members of the public to help trace it.

Police Constable Matt Cutler from East Dorset police said officers are continuing to carry out enquiries and are keen to identify those involved. He urged anyone who saw the bike offered for sale under suspicious circumstances or witnessed anything unusual in the area at the time to come forward.

Information can be passed to Dorset Police online or via 101, quoting the reference 55250111602. Crimestoppers can also be contacted anonymously.
