A man who carried out a series of burglaries across Bournemouth in a single day has been jailed for four years and six months.
Darryll Khazanchi, aged 32 and from Bournemouth, admitted to three burglaries, four counts of fraud and possession of a knife. He also had a further six burglaries taken into consideration at sentencing.
On the evening of Wednesday 12 March 2025, he entered two homes on Windham Road, including one where the resident was in at the time. Items stolen included laptops, bank cards, clothing and a PlayStation. Later that night, the stolen cards were used in several shops in the town centre.
CCTV footage from the transactions showed Khazanchi wearing stolen clothes, helping officers confirm his identity.
The next morning, he burgled another property in Somerset Road, Boscombe, where he took a camera, speaker and bag. Police traced him to Cash Creators in Boscombe, where he sold some of the stolen items.
He was arrested on 24 March 2025 on Old Christchurch Road. Officers found a knife in his jacket pocket during a search.
Detective Sergeant David Went from the Neighbourhood Crime Team said burglaries can have a lasting impact on victims and confirmed that efforts will continue to hold offenders like Khazanchi to account.
