Man dies in Talbot Avenue motorcycle crash in Bournemouth

A man in his 40s has died following a serious collision on Talbot Avenue in Bournemouth.

Police were called to the incident just before 6pm on Thursday evening, near the junction with Roslin Road, which involved a grey BMW and a black and white Honda motorcycle.

Multiple emergency services attended but the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin has been informed.

No serious injuries were reported for those travelling in the BMW.

Dorset Police put road closures and a cordon in place while emergency teams responded and collision investigators examined the scene.

Sergeant Richard Stroud from the Roads Policing Team said officers are continuing to investigate the circumstances and appealed to the public for information.

Anyone who witnessed the crash or has dashcam footage from the area at the time is asked to contact Dorset Police, quoting incident number 10:465.

Police have thanked the public for their patience while emergency work was carried out.
