Bournemouth Airport is the second most expensive airport for parking according to a new survey.
The study, carried out by online used car retailer cinch, looked at the cost of a seven-night stay in official airport car parks across more than 30 major UK airports. Bournemouth Airport ranked second most expensive, with prices starting from £121.20.
In contrast, nearby driveways rented through platforms like JustPark offer major savings. The research shows Bournemouth travellers could save around £92 by parking less than four miles from the airport and arranging a short onward journey to the terminal.
The most expensive airport for parking was London City, with a weekly charge of £145.50. At the other end of the scale, Teesside International in Durham offered parking from £45.
The findings also highlight that official parking at several other London airports, including Heathrow and Gatwick, regularly exceeds £110.
cinch motoring editor Sam Sheehan said planning ahead and exploring alternative options like JustPark could reduce parking bills by over 80%, helping offset wider holiday cost increases this summer.
Bournemouth Airport’s official car park provider is APCOA. Park and ride services have been suggested locally but not yet implemented.
