Over 400 staff at Bournemouth and Poole College gathered to form the word Good in a large group photo celebrating their latest Ofsted result.
The event took place during a staff development and celebration day marking the end of the teaching year. It followed the publication of an Ofsted report rating the college ‘Good’ across every inspection category.
Inspectors praised the quality of education, strong student support and the college’s industry links. They noted that students and apprentices enjoy their learning and benefit from expert teaching, real-world experience and high-quality facilities.
The inspection covered the college’s Bournemouth and Poole campuses, along with its Fulcrum centre, which focuses on boatbuilding and carpentry.
College Principal Phil Sayles said the result confirmed the strength of education across the college and that staff wanted to celebrate together.
Ofsted commended the college’s partnerships with BCP and Dorset councils, local universities and employers, highlighting how these help shape courses that meet local skills needs.
Students were described as respectful and safe, and the college environment was recognised as inclusive and supportive for all learners.
The Ofsted inspection took place in May 2025 and the report was published in June 2025.
