A suspected arson attack has destroyed the clubhouse at Dudsbury Golf Club in Christchurch Road, Ferndown.

Emergency services were called to the fire at around 6.10pm on Friday 20 June. Dorset Police confirmed officers attended to support fire crews and have since launched an investigation.

No arrests have been made so far, but initial enquiries suggest the fire was started deliberately.

Police Constable Emma Davey, from Ferndown police, said they are working closely with the fire service and believe the blaze was not accidental. Officers are now appealing for witnesses or anyone with relevant footage to come forward.

Investigators are particularly keen to hear from anyone who saw suspicious activity in the area that evening, as well as from residents with CCTV or doorbell cameras and motorists with dashcam footage from Christchurch Road at the time.
