Motorcyclist suffers life-changing injuries in Poole crash

A man in his 50s has been seriously injured following a four-vehicle crash in Poole yesterday afternoon.

Emergency services were called to Canford Way at 4.06pm on Monday 16 June after a collision involving an orange KTM motorbike, a white Audi A4, a white Ford Transit van and a brown Honda Jazz.

The rider of the motorbike sustained life-changing injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment. No other injuries have been reported.

Road closures were put in place to allow emergency crews to deal with the scene safely during the evening rush hour. The Air Ambulance also attended.

Dorset Police’s Roads Policing Team is now appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage to help understand what happened.

Sergeant Dave Cotterill said they are keen to speak with anyone who saw the collision or the way the vehicles were being driven before the crash. He also thanked road users for their patience while the road was closed.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Dorset Police using occurrence number 55250086142.
