Free bus rides for dads across Bournemouth on Father’s Day
Dads can travel for free on Morebus services this Father’s Day if accompanied by a fare-paying child.
The offer applies on Sunday 15 June, when any youngster buying a dayrider ticket can bring their dad along at no extra cost.
The initiative is aimed at encouraging families to spend time together using public transport, with local attractions across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole all accessible on the Morebus network.
Nikki Honer from Morebus said the idea was a way for children to treat their dads without needing to spend a lot of money. “It’s not always easy picking a gift for Father’s Day. So how about this? Dads can spend their special day with their offspring – travelling across the region on us.”
The offer applies to all local routes served by Morebus, which include journeys from Bournemouth to places like Poole Quay, Boscombe, Christchurch and Wimborne.
Children must buy a dayrider ticket for their chosen zone in order for their dad to travel for free.
The bus company says the move also promotes sustainable travel and offers families an alternative to using the car.
