Poole Park to host yellow ribbon memorial for Forest Holme

Forest Holme Hospice’s annual yellow ribbon memorial event is returning to Poole Park this year, giving people across the community a chance to remember loved ones.

The Tie A Yellow Ribbon event will take place on Saturday 14 June between midday and 3pm, with visitors invited to write a dedication and tie a ribbon in memory of someone they have lost.

The ribbons will later be moved to the garden at Forest Holme Hospice, where they will remain on display through the summer months.

Organised by Forest Holme and supported by Poole-based property finance company MSP Capital, the event is open to everyone, not just those who have a connection with the hospice.

Claire Cooper from the Forest Holme Hospice Charity said the event offered a space for people to reflect and be together. She added: “It’s a chance to remember and celebrate the lives of loved ones. We encourage people to bring along a picnic and be part of this special day.”

The afternoon will also feature local choirs led by Tim Dowland, refreshments, free children’s craft activities, and a selection of craft stalls.

Anyone unable to attend in person can ask the charity to place a ribbon on their behalf.
