Body found in search for missing man from Poole

Police have confirmed that a body has been found in the search for missing Poole man Jason, aged 50.

He was reported missing late on Monday night after a cabin cruiser he was on ran aground and he went into the water to try to free it.

Specialist police divers located a body shortly after 9.30pm on Tuesday evening in the water near Rockley Harbour.

Although formal identification has not yet taken place, it is believed to be Jason. His family has been informed.

Dorset Police said the death is not being treated as suspicious and HM Coroner has been notified.
