Podcast highlights support for employment and life skills across BCP

Bournemouth One Business News, with Laceys Solicitors

A new podcast from BCP Council is shining a light on the support available to help residents and businesses across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole improve skills and access employment.

The episode features Amy Walton, Economic Development Officer at the council, who explains how her work on the Skills agenda aims to help more people into long-term employment and meaningful careers. Amy works closely with the council’s education team to make sure residents have access to the right opportunities and resources.

She is joined by Jack Hall, a Personal Advisor at BCP Council, who supports young people leaving care. Jack helps them with a wide range of issues – not just around jobs, but also housing, money, relationships and health.

Together, they discuss how employment and training support is being delivered locally, with a focus on helping people gain confidence and practical skills for everyday life and work.

The podcast is part of a wider series aimed at highlighting the council’s work with local communities and encouraging more people to access available support.
