Unique artworks to go under the hammer for Julia’s House

A unique opportunity to own a giant mermaid’s tail is being offered to businesses and individuals.

More than 40 of the specially-designed mermaid tails currently featured in The Great Tail Trail across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole are being auctioned off next month in aid of Julia’s House.

They go under go under the hammer at a Grand Auction at The Italian Villa, Compton Acres, on June 20th with professional auctioneer, Charlie Ross coordinating the bidding.

Thousands of people have now enjoyed the trail which opened last month and continues until the 1st of June.

All funds raised at auction will help Julia’s House continue its lifeline of care for seriously ill children across Dorset and bring comfort and support to their families.

Laura Maidment, Julia’s House Public Fundraising Manager, said: “Funding couldn’t be more vital.

“The money raised at the Grand Auction will be so important in securing the future of our vital care in BCP.

“That will be such a wonderful part of the bidders’ legacy too.

“They’re not just buying an amazing piece of art they are helping local children and families.”
