Eco Sustainable Solutions produced more green energy than ever in 2024, according to its latest Sustainability Report.
Based in Parley, the company generated enough renewable energy last year to power the equivalent of over 6,600 homes.
Its recycling and recovery operations also prevented 116,434 tonnes of Carbon Dioxide from entering the atmosphere by diverting waste from landfill.
During the year, Eco processed 61,191 tonnes of green waste, 36,960 tonnes of food waste, 51,462 tonnes of wood waste, 57,930 tonnes of excavated soils and 28,903 tonnes of street sweepings.
Work also began on a new Anaerobic Digestion (AD) facility at Parley Eco Park, which is scheduled to be operational by October and is expected to generate enough energy to heat over 7,000 homes.
The company exceeded its five per cent carbon efficiency target through operational changes, including testing an alternative to standard diesel fuel.
Biodiversity efforts continued across Eco’s sites, with projects such as wildflower planting, reptile shelters, bird boxes and broader land restoration.

Eco’s Managing Director, Justin Dampney, said the results were a team effort: “None of this would have been possible without the dedicated teams managing our operations 24/7, 365 days a year.”
Founded in 1995, Eco employs 52 people and operates from sites in Parley, Piddlehinton and Weymouth, with an annual turnover of £17 million.
The company’s sustainability strategy remains focused on environmental impact, operational efficiency and long-term energy generation.
