A Bournemouth hotel has gone on the market with an asking price in excess of £7.5 million.
Specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co, has been instructed to market Bournemouth West Cliff Hotel & Spa, a large independent freehold hotel with investment and asset management.
Formerly known as the Durley Hall Hotel, it includes 83 ensuite bedrooms, a dining restaurant, lounge bar, conference facilities including five function suites and a leisure centre with two pools, sauna/steam rooms and an aromatherapy cave.
The property also includes a car park with 80 spaces.
The selling agents say the hotel offers potential for further development, including the creation of 14 additional bedrooms/suites by conversion of the function spaces, as well as expansion of the health club and leisure offering.
Subject to planning consent, the hotel could also be considered for alternative use such as development into a healthcare living destination.
Ed Bellfield, Regional Director at Christie & Co, said: “We are delighted to have been exclusively instructed to sell such a high-profile business within Bournemouth.
“The marketing process will no doubt attract a significant level of interest from both domestic and international hotel investors and operators.
“The opportunity to acquire a freehold trading hotel in the centre of Bournemouth with consistent trading over recent years will no doubt add to the appeal for investors and operators.”
