Two people taken to hospital following motorcycle collision on Sandbanks Road

Two people were taken to hospital last night following a single vehicle collision involving a white Honda motorcycle.

The incident happened on Sandbanks Road at Evening Hill just before 8pm and the road was closed for three hours.

A man aged in his 20s was treated for injuries that were believed to be serious but not life-changing or life-threatening.

A woman aged in her 30s was treated for injuries that were not believed to be serious and has since been discharged from hospital.

Sergeant Chris Brolan, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “We are continuing to investigate the circumstances of this collision. I would urge anyone who witnessed the incident, or the manner of riding of the vehicle involved prior to it, to please make contact with us.

“I am also keen to hear from anyone who may have captured relevant dashcam footage.

“Finally, I would like to thank members of the public for their patience and understanding while the road closures were in place.”
