
A teenage boy has been charged and is due to appear in court today in connection with a reported imitation firearms incident in Bournemouth.
Dorset Police received a report at just before midday on Tuesday of an altercation involving two people in St Swithun’s Road in Bournemouth, near to the junction with Frances Road.
It was reported that one of them was in possession of a possible firearm and subsequently had left the scene.
There were no reports of any injuries and police say there was no evidence to suggest a viable firearm was involved with the weapon was a BB gun or similar.
Officers subsequently arrested and subsequently charged a 15-year-old boy from Bournemouth with possession of an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.
He is due to appear at Poole Magistrates’ Court today.
