The ReCreate Festival in Alderholt is raising money in loving memory of Verwood resident Neil Zebedee.
The 5k Colour Fun Run, including a junior 1k mini colour fun, is taking place at the Alderholt Rec on Saturday 13th April at 10.30am.
“We were incredibly saddened to hear of the passing of Neil Zebedee in September 2018,” organisers say. “Neil was very supportive of the ReCreate festival and performed brilliantly as part of ‘Nothing But Trouble’ at the evening with Dodgy back in 2014.
“Mind is one of the charities that Neil’s family and friends supported in recent times and it feels appropriate this year for us as a festival to do the same.”
A minimum donation of £5 per adult and £2.50 per child at the point of registration is recommended but runners are strongly encouraged to give more on the day and/or get sponsorship to enable the good work that is being done to improve mental health.
